A Boost for Germany as a Business Location

With this publication on Anuga 2025, the Federation of the German Food and Beverage Industry and the DIL demonstrate how companies can specifically leverage the potential of the circular economy.
The core mission of the German food industry is to feed 84 million Germans every day, as well as millions of people abroad. In doing so, it combines tradition with innovation, secures jobs, and makes a significant contribution to economic stability. At the same time, it faces major challenges: global competitiveness, increasing bureaucracy and rising costs, a shortage of skilled workers, and the necessary shift toward greater sustainability. Two areas in particular are opening up new opportunities for the industry: the principles of the circular economy and the use of artificial intelligence. Both approaches demonstrate how technological innovation and sustainable business practices can be intertwined. They enable more efficient production processes, better use of resources, and new ways to generate value. With this publication, released in conjunction with Anuga 2025—the world’s leading food trade fair—the Federation of the German Food Industry and the German Institute of Food Technology aim to highlight how companies can harness the potential of the circular economy and artificial intelligence.
