4. General Information on Data Protection

When you visit a website, a large amount of data—including personal data—is automatically transmitted over the Internet. From a technical standpoint, this is necessary for the website to function at all and to provide you with the best possible experience. Whenever you visit a website, for example—whether an image is retrieved from a server, an external plugin (or script) is loaded, a video is streamed, or any of the many other transmission methods is used—data is sent from your computer to the server from which you are retrieving this content. This data is logged by every server. Logging is performed, for example, to

customized version of the website or files so that they are (or can be) displayed optimally on your device

Pseudonymization or anonymization is not used for security logs, as this would make it impossible to identify potential attackers. As a rule, data is analyzed for other purposes in an anonymized form, and no profiling is conducted. Further information can be found later in this Privacy Policy.

Affected person
The “data subject” (also referred to as “affected person”) is the person whose personal data is collected and processed. In the following, the “data subject” is also referred to as “website visitor” or “user”.

Information on Data Subject Rights
Any data subject may exercise their rights (data subject rights) with the controller. This can be done via email, by mail, or using a provided form. Inquiries by phone are also possible. However, phone inquiries are only accepted and not answered over the phone. The data controller selects the method of communication (mail, email, other means) and sends the data subject a response to their inquiry via that method. Responses to inquiries regarding data subject rights are provided free of charge. A fee may be charged in the event of excessive exercise (e.g., a high frequency) of data subject rights. A response will be provided within the statutory deadline of one month. The deadline may be extended in exceptional cases (e.g., a high volume of requests or a highly complex request). Reasons must be provided for any extension of the deadline. The data subject’s rights are listed below. For clarity, we have summarized the data subject’s rights in bullet points. The data subject must authenticate themselves to the data controller to ensure that they are authorized to exercise their data subject rights. 5. Cookies

We use session cookies. These are automatically deleted when you close your browser. We use persistent cookies. These remain stored until their expiration date is reached. You can delete cookies through your browser settings. On the HUBIT Privacy Policy page, you’ll find more information about cookies and how to delete them.

All web pages are transmitted unencrypted.

7. Forms / Contact Form

You can contact us using our contact form. Please fill out all required fields. Alternatively, you can contact us by phone, email, or in person.

The legal basis for data processing based on consent is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. The legal basis for data processing when sending an email is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. If the purpose of contacting us via email is to enter into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for data processing.

We process the personal data provided in the contact form solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry or responding to your contact request. If you contact us via email, we also have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data.
Other data processed in connection with the submission of the form and related processes is used to prevent or investigate misuse and to ensure the security of our IT systems.

The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for which it was collected has been fulfilled. This is the case when the data entered in the contact form or sent via email is no longer needed for the conversation or to respond to the inquiry, provided that no other legal retention periods prevent this.
Any additional data collected in connection with the transmission of the data will be deleted no later than 7 days after collection.

Consent to data processing may be revoked at any time. In this case, the conversation cannot be continued, and the request cannot be processed further. In the event of an objection, all data stored as a result of the initial contact will be deleted, provided that no statutory retention periods prevent this. 8. Statistical Tools

We use analytics tools on our website. These tools allow us to analyze how our website is used and to optimize the website and its functionality.

9. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is enabled on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data held by Google.

The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Processing personal data enables us to analyze users’ browsing behavior. This allows us to gather information about the use of individual pages or components and thereby improve our website and its usability. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing (see above: Legal Basis). By anonymizing the IP address, we take into account the user’s interest in the protection of their data.

The data will be deleted when it is no longer needed for our record-keeping purposes.

10. Google Maps

We have integrated the Google Maps system into our website. The map system is interactive and offers you many options and map features. When you access the map service so that it can be displayed, your browser sends information to the map service provider. This is the same data that your browser transmits when you visit a website or open a file (see: General Information). This data transmission occurs regardless of whether you have a Google account or are signed in to one. If you are signed in, Google may link or associate the data with your user account.

We have embedded YouTube videos (provider: Google) on our website. When you access the video or the video player (including when viewing the preview), data (see: General Information) is transmitted from your browser to YouTube.
