Food Process and Product Engineering (MSc. FPPE)
The program combines food technology with scientific expertise
The master’s program in Food Process and Product Engineering at the Food Science & Technology Campus Artland in Quakenbrück
The English-language master’s program Food Process and Product Engineering (MSc. FPPE) is offered by the DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V. at the Food Science and Technology Campus Artland in Quakenbrück. Over the course of four semesters, students acquire comprehensive knowledge of the entire food value chain—“from farm to fork.” The program focuses on current topics in food science, such as state-of-the-art analytics and process engineering, digitalization in production, sustainability strategies, the biochemistry of nutrition, and technology transfer.
As the program progresses, students work on practice-oriented case studies and write their master’s thesis in close collaboration with partner companies in the food industry. A key distinguishing feature of the program is the close integration of academia and industry: insights from the field are directly incorporated into teaching and research.

As a flagship program, the FPPE master’s program strengthens the training of professionals and leaders in food science in Lower Saxony.
