On the topic: Strategies for utilizing structure-forming mycelia and exopolysaccharides (EPS) from basidiomycete-based side-stream fermentation

The DIL German Institute of Food Technologies is a non-university, nonprofit research institute specializing in food technology and food sciences. Over the past four decades, an internationally active institute with expertise spanning the entire food value chain has developed in Quakenbrück. DIL conducts research in the areas of food safety and authenticity, structure and functionality, and sustainability.

Your responsibilities:

Identification of suitable fungal strains for the production of EPS and mycelium biomass in defined media Characterization of fermentation conditions Development of experimental designs, as well as planning and implementation of experimental studies Conducting experiments and statistical evaluation of results

Your profile:

Degree in biology, biotechnology, food technology, bioprocess engineering, or a comparable ; experience in laboratory work is desirable ; ability to work independently and responsibly, commitment, and ability to work as part of a team ; good written and spoken English skills ; good German language skills are a plus
