The goal of the “Redesign Food for Value” program is to enable food companies and B2B ingredient suppliers to take a leading role in sustainable, health-oriented markets in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Through access to exclusive resources, practical support, and collaboration with key players in the food system, the program offers a tailored approach. It consists of several modules that can be freely selected to align with the company’s needs and goals.
So far, sustainable and healthy foods have struggled to gain a lasting foothold in EU markets. Low consumer confidence and a lack of insight into consumer preferences make it difficult for manufacturers to tailor their products, while SMEs and B2B ingredient suppliers—key drivers of innovation—must overcome hurdles related to technology, market entry, and scaling. RF4V empowers companies to develop sustainable, healthy, and in-demand products and to establish sustainable food as the new standard. By filling knowledge gaps and providing appropriate resources, RF4V supports product redesign and promotes a more resilient, trustworthy food system. To this end, the DIL coordinates SME-focused modules on impact measurement, storytelling, and market launch; healthy and sustainable redesign; technology and reformulation; and ingredients and raw materials.
