Food Solutions – EcoBite Delights

Throughout the program, the students worked in a multidisciplinary team and were supported and guided by experts from industry, research, and academia. The challenge for 2024 was: “Revolutionize the world of sustainable and budget-friendly (25% cheaper than the market) baked goods and pastries, tailored to a population with special needs!” Fourteen student teams from the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology, the University of Helsinki, the University of Turin, and the University of Pollenzo developed innovative baked goods and pastries for people with dietary restrictions, including allergen intolerances, digestive issues, and obesity. The DIL supported the teams with expertise in product development, business modeling, market assessment, and entrepreneurship.
