The international master’s program in Food Process and Product Engineering (FPPE) has so far been sought after primarily by prospective students from Asia, Africa, and, to a lesser extent, Europe. A targeted marketing strategy aims to increase global visibility and enhance the international diversity of applicants. In addition, the DIL e. V. website will be modernized and made more user-friendly to further optimize science communication.
The website will be redesigned in terms of both layout and navigation to improve user-friendliness. Research projects will be presented more effectively, the news section will be given a more prominent placement, and mobile optimization and accessibility will be implemented. The launch will follow a testing phase and will be accompanied by a social media strategy designed to maximize visibility. For the marketing of the master’s program, target regions will be defined and appropriate channels selected. The website (www.master-foodscience.de), social media, and promotional materials will be revamped; targeted social media and PPC campaigns, university partnerships, and online information events will increase reach. Performance analyses are used to optimize the campaigns, and virtual campus tours support students in choosing a program. Finally, the strategy is evaluated. The MWK grant enables the expansion of press and public relations efforts and sustainably enhances the visibility of the FPPE degree program as well as the online presence of DIL e. V. worldwide.
